Before Your Visit & Booking

PREPARATION

    About Your Design

  1. Choosing Your Design

Start by getting a clear idea of the design you want. Searching online or browsing magazines and design books is a great way to find inspiration. When you find an image close to what you have in mind, save it to your phone. Your own sketches are welcome too.
*We also have a large collection of design references and magazines in the studio, so feel free to consult us even if you haven't decided on a design yet.

  2. Design Review

If you'd like to see the draft design in advance, we'll email it to you before your session.
Whether or not you receive it in advance, we'll keep revising the design until you're completely happy with it.

    02

  3. Size & Placement

Some designs can't be made smaller, and on certain parts of the body, shrinking a design can throw off its balance. Deciding where and how large to place your tattoo is just as important as the design itself. Many clients decide on size and placement after coming in, so take your time. You can also refer to our chart showing typical waiting times by tattoo size.

Before Your Session & What to Wear

PRECAUTIONS

  1. No Sunburn

We can't tattoo skin that is sensitive or peeling.

    POINT 01

  2. No Alcohol

Alcohol increases blood flow and bleeding, which can affect how the ink settles and how well the tattoo heals.

    POINT 02

  3. Go Easy on Beef

Eating large amounts may make you more prone to bleeding, so please avoid overdoing it.

    POINT 03

  4. Sleep & Eat Well

Lack of sleep or an empty stomach can make the pain feel stronger. Please get a good night's sleep and eat before you come in.

    POINT 04

  5. What to Wear

We recommend dark, stretchy clothing you don't mind getting stained, that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.

    POINT 05

  6. What to Bring

Please bring a thick towel or similar in case you get cold. We also ask that you purchase petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline) for aftercare.

    POINT 06

*Please let us know in advance if any of the following apply to you:
currently receiving medical treatment or taking medication; allergies or skin conditions.
